The Multicultural Center fosters multicultural communications by providing students, faculty, and staff a welcoming, supportive, and celebrative environment for dialogue and out-of-classroom learning experiences on diversity issues of race, gender, and globalization. Facilitates the development of programmatic efforts and activities which encourage interactive exchanges and develops an appreciation and awareness of unique characteristics of diverse and cultural perspectives. A University resource which bridges cultural and racial barriers while valuing and celebrating the diversity and pluralism. Some of the Multicultural Center’s programs are MCC Coffee, Women’s Difficult Discussion, and Video Series. The Multicultural Center offers programmatic, study, and lounge space, which can assist in the development, coordination, and facilitation of out-of-classroom learning experiences, programmatic efforts, residencies, and workshops.
