  Learn to laugh at yourself despite your mistakes

  Say positive things to yourself (self-affirmations)

 

Nurturing Self-esteem with Self-affirmations

Self affirmations are positive statements that people say or think to themselves for self encouragement.  When we say these types of things to ourselves over and over, we begin to believe them about ourselves.


Examples of Self-affirmations:

  • I am beautiful
  • I am strong
  • I can do this
  • I am deserving of this
  • I am unique
  • I am just as qualified as the next person
  • I can reward myself
  • I am valuable
