Alcohol

The Middle Stage of Alcohol Abuse  is when you:

  • Find it difficult to get through the day without a drink
  • Have trouble getting the same "good feelings," regardless of how much you drink
  • Deny drinking, drink in secret, and hide alcohol
  • Drink in the morning or alone
  • Start to hang around people with whom you would not usually hang around
  • Get careless about personal welfare, such as drinking and driving, walking alone at night, etc.
  • Lose the ambition or drive you had before drinking
  • Lose interest in family, friends, school, work, and activities that were once of interest to you
